Challenges

Before we can empower a child, we must understand what stands in their way. Our needs assessment reveals three interconnected challenges faced by children from underprivileged backgrounds – challenges that, left unaddressed, can quietly shape the whole course of a young life.

Limited Opportunities

Kids living all their formative years in underprivileged conditions are without sufficient guidance and skill development. These children miss out on crucial developmental stages that shape who they become.

Social Risk Factors

There is an urgent need to offer positive outlets for underprivileged children to channel their energy, to reduce the likelihood of resorting to negative behaviours.

Self-esteem and Confidence

Children growing up in less endowed environments may face challenges to their self-esteem, preventing them from believing in themselves and developing their unique abilities.

These challenges are real, but they are not permanent. See how our programs turn each one into an opportunity to grow – explore Our Programs.
